Nineteen Forty Series
CYMA introduces the "Nineteen Forty", a collection reminiscent of the 1940's but modernized with today's styling. The collection is available in quartz, automatic, or with a C.O.S.C. certified automatic chronometer movement. These classic watches combine high tech features with refined elegance and are available in all steel or in 18k gold & steel.
A Chronometer is a certification awarded to a high-precision movement that has been tested over several days by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. State-of-the-art equipment developed in-house by the Institute's engineers test each movement individually for 15 days, in 5 positions, and at 3 temperatures.
In order to earn "chronometer certification" only movements made from the highest-quality components are submitted to the Institute. Even before their testing, each movement was the object of special attention on the part of the finest watchmakers and timers during its assembly.
Each chronometer is unique, identified by a number engraved on its movement, given by the Insitute. A "chronometer-certified" certificate is issued for each movement that passes the testing and scrutiny of the Institute.
