A Story to Skatell

In 1964 Anthony J. Skatell, Sr. and his wife, Helen, (Dad and Mom) opened a neighborhood jewelry store in the rolling foothills on the north side of Greenville, South Carolina. Their goal was to provide their customers with the best selection of fine jewelry at the best possible price, and deliver it with the friendly, impeccable service that is a hallmark of the South. After all, their name was riding on it.

It was a good plan, because for the past almost 50 years, Anthony, Helen and now three generations of Skatell family members have had the pleasure and honor of helping several generations of our customers celebrate some of the most important events of their lives.

Today our family-owned and -operated business, now located in the heart of Greenville, is considered by customers around the world as their preferred choice for purchasing diamonds, designer brands, custom creations and fine jewelry.

Skatell's extensive in-store selection includes an ever-changing array of more than 40,000 items including diamonds, engagement rings, designer brands and a complete selection of fine jewelry and gifts.

Repair | Custom Design | Manufacturing On-Site

We offer an in-house design department that manufactures custom-designed pieces to your specifications right on our premises. Our professional staff also repairs all jewelry types/metals (except watches) on site...if we can, sometimes while you wait. Your treasured pieces will never leave our location until we return them to you.

Gemological Expertise

Our experience in diamonds, gems and fine jewelry runs deep. Our staff currently includes two gemologists who are Diamond- and Gemstone-certified by the Gemological Institute of America .
